HOSPITALITY / SOL PROVIDORE

BC was chosen by The Mark Moran Group to create a new cafe/providore, "Sol Providore", within their award-winning development in Sydney's eastern suburb of Vaucluse. With a time frame of 4 weeks for design and 2 months to build, we worked seamlessly with our designers to meet this strict deadline.

Works in this high-end produce store included custom joinery throughout in the means of shelving, serveries and work stations. The white-washed timber gives a neutral backdrop to the perfectly positioned produce.

Wrought iron window casements have been paired with thickened glass panes to ensure an ideal temperature in the dedicated cheese room. Custom black shelving at either end of the store help to balance out the presence of the cheese room whilst giving ample storage for baked goods and coffee beans.

Carrara marble encases the ever-popular gelato/coffee station providing both form and function whilst copper and gold detailing add a touch of “lux” to the space.

Moroccan style stenciling covers the entire concrete floor giving an energetic yet orderly feel as you enter the shop. The indoor and outdoor seating areas provide customers with a relaxing area in which to enjoy their purchases and socialise with friends.

Creating the perfect place to browse and enjoy the finer things in life.

HOSPITALITY / WILD ROVER

The Wild Rover is Surry Hills latest secret bar. “The name comes from the term used to describe wayward locals or travellers, spending lavishly on alcohol despite not having the resources enough to justify the spending. The term is especially used in Irish pubs and for many people, the Wild Rover is the stereotypical Irish drinking song, the very embodiment of the Irish spirit of the craic… where drink, laughter, good nature and good cheer are what matters most”

The exposed brick walls are used to display the food and beverage menus on old train station timetables whilst old area maps hang for a healthy dose of nostalgia. The amber lampshades compliment the copper bar and soften the otherwise industrial style of this popular night spot.

Keeping the original facade, the pub is split over two levels, providing plenty of space to mix and mingle. The rear wall is covered in a bright, jungle green wallpaper and serves as a backdrop to  the custom-made copper bar created by BC's own fabricators and artisans.

Continuing with the Irish theme, the bathrooms are painted in a heavy green with easy to clean subway tiles on the lower part of the walls. A barn-style sink area and old fashioned pictures on the walls give these rooms even more personality.
