RESIDENTIAL / Bronte Apartment
Perfectly positioned in Sydneys eastern suburb of Bronte, this three bedroom, two bathroom apartment receives panoramic views of the ocean and is the epitome of Sydney coastal living.
Collaboratively designed by the owner, Cradle Design and BC, the open-plan living, kitchen and dining areas all have access to the spectacular view of the coastline. This, along with the homes earthy tones, creates a relaxing and spacious atmosphere while the dark cabinetry in the kitchen adds an element of drama to the otherwise neutral space.
The luxury kitchen boasts high-end finishes such as Caesarstone waterfall bench-tops in White Attica, elegant tapware by Brodware and new laminex satin finish cabinets by Polytec. Smeg appliances only add to the kitchen’s elegance.
White oiled floorboards from Woodcut Design and BC’s custom joinery provide a continuous flow through-out this minimalistic home.
The bathrooms have their own quirky identities with the master being smooth and moody with vintage-style lighting, oval mirrors and brushed gold fixtures.
The second bathroom contrasts the master altogether with its monochromatic, edgy design punctuated with a warm timber vanity.
RESIDENTIAL / URBAN Timber CABIN
This urban timber cabin in Sydney's inner suburb of St Peters is a project that is very close to our hearts – it’s our own design!
Inspired by the property's existing tropical gardens and the industrial past of the local area, together, Jace & Aurelie have designed the space combining a mixture of mid-century, industrial and Scandinavian styles.
The two story urban cabin consists of a large open-plan ground floor. This dual-purpose space includes a custom ply-wood kitchen with movable island bench which doubles as the dining table. The living area incorporates built-in wooden shelves and a wall of bi-folding French doors that open up to the lush tropical front garden.
The double-height ceiling is the homes central feature. The skylights, combined with the bi-folding doors at the front and the industrial glass doors at the rear, allow the entire home to be bathed in natural sunlight whilst giving generous cross ventilation.
Creating a sustainable place to live.
The bathroom walls are finished in a natural looking stone offering a cool, calm and relaxed atmosphere. Complimented by an antique mirror, the Moroccan style tiles underfoot and the exposed copper plumbing all add to the charm of this designer bathroom.
The industrial structure combined with the mid-century, Scandinavian style gives the space a strong yet relaxed vibe!
The handcrafted staircase takes you up to the open walkway overlooking the ground floor. With high pitched ceilings, blue paneled walls and views over the tropical gardens, the upstairs bedrooms provide a tranquil hideaway.
RESIDENTIAL / INNER SUBURBS PARADISE
Built Complete was commissioned to undertake a full remodel of this once run down terrace in the Sydney inner suburb of Newtown.
This modern, minimalistic terrace with open plan living, dining, and kitchen, is decorated with mid century furniture including the owners antique record player and sideboard. Complimenting the living area, the kitchen has been modeled on a 1950’s inspired style with pastel pinks and blues and retro Smeg appliances.
Adjoining the kitchen, the dining area is steeped in natural light through strategically placed sky-lights and a wall of bi-fold doors. These doors open the home up to tropical gardens creating an relaxed indoor-outdoor space.
Often what’s wrong with some modernist houses -
they’re kept vacuum sealed all the way through.
And then people wonder why they haven’t any atmosphere.
A bold blue staircase leads up to the homes bedrooms and attic en-suite. Featuring original French doors, the second bedroom opens onto the main verandah while the master bedroom opens onto the tranquil roof-top garden.
Creating a place where you can live everyday in paradise.
